FrequentlyAskedQuestions
What is the process like?
Once you’ve sent in your enquiry, I’ll either email or call you to have a quick chat about your needs and desires for the shoot. If necessary, we’ll have a brainstorming session regarding creative direction and I’ll put together a mood board. Once the details have been approved and deposit has been made, you’ll receive a booking confirmation, securing the shoot date and time. After the shoot, you’ll receive a full gallery of basic edits, where you’ll get to proof and select your favourites. I’ll then work on finer edits with your images of choice, and deliver them to you. Wait times vary depending on packages.
Can we have all the images from the shoot?
Unfortunately, I don’t provide all images from the shoot for a number of reasons: I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, unfocused shots, and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. This negates the need on your end to zoom into each image and select the few of hundreds with the sharpest focus—which usually takes a few hours. However, once I’ve weeded out such images, you’ll receive a full gallery—with basic edits—where you can pick your favourites for the final delivery.
What sort of edits do you do?
All packages come with colour grading and basic retouching. All photos will be colour graded for the first round of proofing. After which, I’ll conduct basic retouching, cropping, spot correction and finer edits for the second round of proofing and/or final product delivery. These finer edits will bring the photos from good to WOWICAN’TBELIEVEILOOKSOGOOD.
Do you shoot quinceaneras, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, engagement parties or corporate events?
Absolutely! This all falls under event coverage, and I’d love to document your celebration.
What does basic retouching consist of?
It generally comprises: flyaway removal, teeth lightening, hyperpigmentation correcting, acne removal, et cetera. Unfortunately, I do not edit faces or bodies to look smaller; my retouching philosophy is to correct or remove anything that might be distracting. I also tend to retouch more meticulously with editorialised headshots and couple/family portraits (than event coverage).
Can I have the RAW images from the shoot?
Unfortunately, I don’t provide RAW images from the shoot by default as I believe in delivering a finished product. However, if you wish to possess the RAW files, I’m happy to deliver them along with the edited images for an add-on fee of $200.
